The musician's app that earned Apple's Design Award
The Moises AI app is built by Moises, a music-AI company that has scaled to more than 30 million musicians across iPhone, Android, web and desktop. The official site is moises.ai. In 2024 Apple awarded Moises AI the iPad App of the Year Design Award — the kind of badge AI music generators don't get.
The defining choice for Moises AI is being the musician's tool, not a generator. Where Suno and Beatron create songs from prompts, Moises AI takes existing music and gives you control over it: best-in-class neural stem separation (vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, strings), a smart metronome that syncs to any recording — the first of its kind — chord detection with a visual grid, one-click pitch shift and tempo control, BPM and song-key detection, AI lyrics transcription and a Voice Studio with AI voice models from real singers. Endorsements run from Drumeo's drum teacher (2M+ YouTube) to Slipknot's drummer Jay Weinberg, voted Best Metal Drummer 2024 by Modern Drummer.
Be clear-eyed about the limits. The Moises AI free plan caps the number of separations you can run per period — for unlimited use and advanced instrument isolation (lead/rhythm guitar, main/background vocals) you need Premium starting around $5.99/month. The cleanest Hi-Fi audio models and professional drum-part stems live in the Pro tier. Reviews note Moises AI doesn't yet remove white noise, static or arbitrary voice types — it's designed for musical stems, not general audio cleanup.
Practical caveats: heavy processing runs in the cloud, so a stable connection matters. The Moises AI app isn't trying to be a full DAW — it's a practice-and-stem tool with extraordinary fidelity. If you're a singer, drummer, bassist, guitarist or producer who needs clean stems out of real songs, this is the most reliable option on the market.
